David Poltack

Chief Financial Officer

David is Chief Financial Officer and manages all finance and administration functions of the firm including financial reporting, human resources, facilities, and investor relations.  Based in Boston, he brings financial management expertise from his work with venture-backed and newly public technology companies.

Prior to Globespan, David was  with TVM Capital, a global venture capital firm with offices in Munich and Boston, as the Vice President of Finance and a General Partner within the corporate finance group.  His responsibilities included the oversight of Boston's financial, IT and administrative functions.  As a member of the corporate finance team, David worked closely with the life sciences and technology teams concentrating on all corporate finance matters including performing financial and legal due diligence on potential portfolio companies, coordinating term sheets and legal documents, monitoring investments, structuring and coordinating acquisitions and mergers and preparing portfolio companies for Initial Public Offerings. David has served on the board of several TVM portfolio companies and serves as an observer to numerous others.

Prior to TVM Capital, he was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he focused on venture capital and life science industries.

David is a charter member of TiE, a not for profit organization promoting entrepreneurship, and is currently acting treasurer of TiE's Boston chapter. He is also a member of the Private Equity Chief Financial Officer Association (PECFOA).  David earned a Bachelors of Science in Accountancy, with honors, from Boston College, an MBA, with honors, from Suffolk University and is a Certified Public Accountant.  David lives in Boston with his wife and two children.  He enjoys exercising, playing golf and traveling.
